Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Brethren Bobcats a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on four straight.

Marion's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Brethren, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion will square off against Vestaburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Brethren, they will venture away from home to square off against Frankfort at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
