Basketball Game Preview: Savannah Savages vs. Macon Tigers

The Savannah Savages and the Macon Tigers will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Savannah saw some tournament action two weeks ago. They lost to Chillicothe at home by a 62-46 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Savages in their matchups with the Hornets: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Macon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Chillicothe 63-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while the Hornets are ranked 96th).

Savannah now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Macon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
