East St. Louis's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They never let the Roosevelt Roughriders get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Flyers needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Looking ahead, East St. Louis will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Alton at 4:30 p.m. The Redbirds' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Flyers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Roosevelt, they will square off against Maplewood-Richmond Heights at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
