It was a good run, but The Habersham School unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Alleluia Community Angels by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Myla Shippy paced The Habersham School's offense, picking up 16 kills. Shippy got some help from Abbey Zellner and her 25 assists. Shippy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The Habersham School's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Alleluia Community, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, The Habersham School and Alleluia Community will both be playing Heritage Christian Academy the next time they take the court. The Patriots will host the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Angels will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
