Preview: Becton Wildcats vs. Hasbrouck Heights Aviators
The Becton Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Hasbrouck Heights Aviators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
After soaring to 41 points the game before, Becton were a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They took a hard 21-7 fall against St. Mary.
Meanwhile, Hasbrouck Heights had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by New Milford on the road to the tune of 28-0. 28 seems to be a good number for Hasbrouck Heights as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Hasbrouck Heights' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Frank Billings, who rushed for 77 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, and Michael Napoitano, who picked up 95 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Hasbrouck Heights' win bumped their season record to 5-2 while Becton's loss dropped theirs to 4-3.
Becton couldn't quite finish off Hasbrouck Heights in their previous matchup back in October of 2021 and fell 10-7. Can Becton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
