Softball Preview: Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains vs. Lakota Raiders

Hopewell-Loudon is 7-0 against Lakota since April of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakota Raiders at 5:00 p.m. Hopewell-Loudon will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.

Hopewell-Loudon can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Monday. They put the hurt on Calvert with a sharp 10-4 victory.

Isabelle Beidelschies was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Beidelschies has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Beidelschies was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with a home run and four RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addy Seibenaller, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Sidney Brickner was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Harmon was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a double.

Harmon wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Jurovcik, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Hopewell-Loudon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Lakota, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12-1.
