Softball Recap: Beacon Takes a Loss

Beacon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tri-Valley Bears.

Beacon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaliyah Soto, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Mikaela Arce was another, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three stolen bases.

Beacon's record now sits at 0-8. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beacon will challenge Kingston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Valley, they will take on Chapel Field Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bears' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
