Baseball Recap: Liberty Baptist Academy Comes Up Short

Liberty Baptist Academy lost against Indian Springs back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Liberty Baptist Academy Knights lost 14-7 to the Indian Springs Thunderbirds. The matchup marked the Knights' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Bruce Delgado made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Liberty Baptist Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Indian Springs, their victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Baptist Academy will head out to face off against Lincoln County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty Baptist Academy has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Indian Springs, they are taking a road trip to challenge Awaken Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
