Softball Recap: West Anchorage Comes Up Short

West Anchorage extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-6 in the process. They came up short against the Chugiak Mustangs, falling 21-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 two weeks ago.

As for Chugiak, the win keeps they at an undefeated 10-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

For Chugiak's part, Isabel Sjostrand was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklyn McCormick, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Looking ahead, West Anchorage will welcome Homer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chugiak, they will head out to take on South Anchorage at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
