New Egypt moved up to 255 from 282 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in West Jersey - Freedom. The Warriors were able to make the jump by besting Ewing 20-10.
Burlington City and Clayton played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Burlington City eventually emerging with a 18-14 victory.
Palmyra's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Berry threw for 123 yards and Caliph Wright had 59 yards receiving. On the ground Berry chipped in 18 yards. Tai Belford helped Palmyra's passing attack out by catching four balls for 23 yards.
The Panthers' Berry and Wright have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Berry has thrown for 760 yards this season, while Wright, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 26 catches for 455 yards. New Egypt's Kevin Mason leads the league in rushing yards with 415.
Two of the top units in West Jersey - Freedom will face off this week when Maple Shade takes on Florence Township Memorial. The Wildcats' offense has scored 174 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Flashes have allowed only 35 on the year.
Luke Sinkhorn's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,490 from 10,535. The advance stemmed from a 20-10 victory over the Blue Devils last week.
