Soccer Game Preview: Fleming vs. Patrick Henry

Fleming hasn't had much luck against Patrick Henry recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Colonels will host the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fleming is headed into Wednesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against William Byrd, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Fleming can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 279th, while William Byrd are ranked 79th).

Meanwhile, Patrick Henry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 4-0 to Blacksburg.

Patrick Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Fleming, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-9.

Fleming might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Patrick Henry in their previous meeting on April 1st. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Colonels were down 5-0.
