Soccer Game Preview: Powhatan vs. Monacan

Powhatan hasn't had much luck against Monacan recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Chiefs at 7:00 p.m.

On Monday, Powhatan came up short against Clover Hill and fell 3-1. Powhatan have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monacan waltzed into their match on Monday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Skyhawks get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. Give Monacan's defense some credit: that's the team's fifth straight shutout.

Monacan pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Powhatan, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1.
