Basketball Recap: Nashua Comes Up Short

Nashua scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Dodson Coyotes. The Porcupines just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Dodson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Precious Stiffarm, who posted 23 points. Stiffarm continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tissie Webb, who put up 13 points.

Nashua's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Dodson, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-8 and their overall record up to 2-12.

Nashua has already played their next contest, a 58-18 defeat against Terry on the 1st. As for Dodson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 55-26 loss against Lustre Christian on the 7th.
