Football Game Preview: Spring Valley Grizzlies vs. Green Valley Gators

The Spring Valley Grizzlies will take on the Green Valley Gators at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Spring Valley's offense might be in the hot seat on Wednesday considering what happened against Sunrise Mountain on Tuesday. They took a hard 19-0 fall against the Miners.

Meanwhile, Green Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against Desert Oasis, falling 34-0. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada football rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Diamondbacks are ranked third).

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Green Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Spring Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Green Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 25-20 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Green Valley's Lauryn Galvin, who picked up 87 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Spring Valley still be able to contain Galvin? There's only one way to find out.
