Buckeye Trail waltzed into their match on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Newcomerstown Trojans 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Buckeye Trail walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-10.

Vayda Neuhart paced Buckeye Trail's offense, picking up 12 kills. Neuhart got some help from Anna Mcvicker and her 24 assists. Mcvicker was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Buckeye Trail's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Newcomerstown, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Buckeye Trail will challenge Tuscarawas Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Newcomerstown, they will square off against Ridgewood at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
