Volleyball Game Preview: Lawrence-Nelson Raiders vs. Blue Hill Bobcats

The Lawrence-Nelson Raiders will face off against the Blue Hill Bobcats on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Lawrence-Nelson came up short against Red Cloud on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Lawrence-Nelson was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Red Cloud's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Blue Hill lost 3-0 to Grand Island Lutheran on Thursday.

Blue Hill was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Blue Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-16.

Lawrence-Nelson beat Blue Hill 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
