Recap: Winnfield Tigers vs. Madison Jaguars
The Winnfield Tigers lost to the Madison Jaguars back in November of 2014, but the Winnfield Tigers didn't allow the Madison Jaguars the same satisfaction on Saturday. Winnfield enjoyed a cozy 62-46 victory over Madison. The win made it back-to-back wins for Winnfield.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Winnfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cl Davis, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Davis hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Decavian Duncan, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Despite the loss, Madison still got an impressive performance from Amarrion White, who scored 20 points. The contest was White's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Winnfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Madison, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winnfield will take on Homer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Homer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Winnfield is ranked 99th). As for Madison, they will be playing at home against Bastrop at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
