Recap: Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers vs. Vero Beach Indians
The Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Tigers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 46-41 win over Vero Beach. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Allison Lagrone, who scored 12 points along with five steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Savannah Schultz was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Vero Beach still got an impressive performance from Camryn Reid, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ekklesia Anderson, who scored eight points.
Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Vero Beach, they bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy will face off against Eau Gallie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Eau Gallie focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Vero Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Westwood is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
