Softball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison lost to Spruce Mountain back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bulldogs came up short against the Phoenix, falling 15-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Spruce Mountain, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Madison will square off against Oak Hill at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.1 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Spruce Mountain, they will face off against Winthrop at 4:00 p.m. on the 19th.
