Softball Recap: Manalapan Braves vs. Shore Regional Blue Devils
Manalapan posted their closest win since March 26th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Shore Regional Blue Devils. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-10 back in April.
Sophia Miranda spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Manalapan's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kylie Courter, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.
Manalapan's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Shore Regional, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-7 record this season.
