Soccer Recap: Rutherford Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Rutherford kept a clean sheet against Franklin County on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Franklin County Seahawks. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Robert Perez and Antonio Avila scored both of Rutherford's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

Rutherford's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-6-1. As for Franklin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9-4 record this season.

Rutherford is facing Bozeman at the right time seeing as Bozeman is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Franklin County, they will face off against Port St. Joe at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin County will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: Port St. Joe will have lost four straight heading into Tuesday's game.
