Volleyball Recap: Sophie Ashworth and Molly Mcneill Secure Win for Aucilla Christian

Aucilla Christian won the last time they faced Beaches Chapel and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Leading Aucilla Christian to victory were Molly McNeill and Sophie Ashworth. McNeill had 24 assists and ten digs, while Ashworth had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs McNeill has posted over her last eight matchups.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Chloe McGowan, who had ten kills, three blocks, and two aces. McGowan is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had nine or more in each of the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zuena Ndao, who had five kills and four aces.

Aucilla Christian's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Beaches Chapel, they moved to 12-4 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Aucilla Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Meadowbrook Academy on the 9th. As for Beaches Chapel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Covenant School of Jacksonville on the 14th.
