If Huntland was riding high  fresh off their  49-14 takedown of Lookout Valley last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets lost  35-13 to the Fayetteville Tigers on Friday. The Hornets haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.
 Huntland's loss  came despite strong showings from  Alfonso Cabera and  Bryant Mooney.  Cabera rushed for 147 yards and one  touchdown on only 14 carries, while  Mooney rushed for 89 yards and one  score.
  Nyles Barnett was the offensive standout of the  matchup as he threw for 142 yards and a pair of  TDs on only seven passes, and also rushed for 32 yards.
Huntland's  loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Fayetteville, their record is now 2-4.
 Huntland and Fayetteville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next  contests. The next time the Hornets see the field they'll take on Eagleville  on  the 17th. As for Fayetteville, their break will end when they face Moore County  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 17th.
