Azusa dropped their record down to 6-8 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell 7-3 to the Sierra Vista Dons. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Azusa saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Huizar, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Terry Chavez was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Sierra Vista, they moved to 6-13 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

On Sierra Vista's side, Ethan Zepeda was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs Zepeda has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jared Chanelo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Coincidentally, Azusa and Sierra Vista will both be playing Garey the next time they take the field. The Aztecs will host the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Dons will host them at 3:30 p.m. on the 29th.
