Grandview extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping their season record up to 13-10-2 in the process. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in March.

Rashad Williams was a one-man wrecking crew as he had 23 digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted over his last ten contests.

They weren't the only good server: Grandview was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive games.

As for Raymore-Peculiar, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 16 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18-1 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Raymore-Peculiar saw an underclassman step up: freshman Brexton Winchel had 32 digs and one assist.

Coming up, Grandview will take on North Kansas City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Raymore-Peculiar, they will square off against Northland Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
