St. Clair kept a clean sheet against Utica on Monday. They came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 back in April.

The victory made it two in a row for St. Clair and bumps their season record up to 12-3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matchups. As for Utica, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5-1.

St. Clair and Utica could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Saints will square off against L'Anse Creuse North at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (60 vs. 9). Meanwhile, Utica (ranked 63rd) will meet Utica Eisenhower (ranked first) at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
