Softball Recap: West Ashley Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

West Ashley lost to Cane Bay back in March of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The West Ashley Wildcats walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Cane Bay Cobras. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

West Ashley pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Cane Bay, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Ashley will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Cane Bay, they will head out to square off against Fort Dorchester at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Fort Dorchester will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Cane Bay surely won't give up without a fight.
