Softball Recap: Ashe County Takes a Loss

Ashe County lost against South Caldwell back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Huskies fell 11-6 to the Spartans.

Ally Greer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Nadilyn Eason was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Ashe County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for South Caldwell, their win bumped their record up to 18-2.

Coming up, Ashe County will venture away from home to take on Watauga at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Huskies are facing the Pioneers at the right time seeing as the Pioneers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for South Caldwell, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.6, the Falcons 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
