Preview: Queen's Grant Stallions vs. Carolina International Comets

The Queen's Grant Stallions will head out on the road to face off against the Carolina International Comets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Queen's Grant is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.

Queen's Grant pushed their score all the way to 60 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 85-60 walloping at the hands of South Charlotte T. Queen's Grant was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-24.

The losing side was boosted by Garrett Morgan, who scored 26 points along with eight assists and five steals. Morgan is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Darian Nhek, who scored 17 points along with five assists.

Meanwhile, Carolina International pushed their score all the way to 55 last Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Piedmont Community Charter by a score of 57-55. It was the first time this season that Carolina International let down their fans at home.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Malaki Long, who scored 17 points along with five steals. Steven Jefferson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Queen's Grant's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Carolina International, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-7.

Queen's Grant took a serious blow against Carolina International when the teams last played back in February of 2023, falling 82-44. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Queen's Grant was down 41-20.
