Southeast gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over the Central Bears. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Seminoles as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Southeast's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Dukes led the charge by rushing for 88 yards and a touchdown on only six carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Cornelius Fields, who rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.

Fields wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Southeast was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central only rushed for 48.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Southeast's defense and their 3.5 sacks. Cedarius Crawford was especially locked on to Central's QB and sacked him twice.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast will square off against Manatee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeast is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. As for Central, they will head out to face off against Interlachen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
