Volleyball Recap: Leah Grace Snellgrove Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Slocomb

Dale County took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Slocomb, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Red Tops 2-1. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Red Tops walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

Dale County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Leah Grace Snellgrove led the charge by getting 11 digs, six aces, and one block. Those 11 digs gave Snellgrove a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Courtney Keith, who had 17 digs, two aces, and one block.

Dale County now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Slocomb, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Dale County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Tops: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
