Sale Creek won the last time they faced Lookout Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Sale Creek Panthers took their matchup with ease, bagging a 49-14 victory over the Lookout Valley Yellowjackets. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 192nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 393rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sale Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chelsea Levi led the charge by putting up eight points. Destany Cunningham was another key player, posting 11 points and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Sale Creek and bumps their season record up to 17-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-7 Lookout Valley and 0-6 Lookout Valley. As for Lookout Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Copper Basin knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Sale Creek likes a good challenge. Lookout Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
