Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for North Warren Central

North Warren Central had won five straight home games dating back to last season and Semaj Cuyler did his part to make it six on Friday. The North Warren Central Cougars snuck past the Granville Golden Horde with a 69-63 victory thanks in part to Cuyler, who dropped a double-double on 39 points and 14 boards. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Horge, who posted six points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.

North Warren Central's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Granville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

North Warren Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-54 loss against Saugerties on the 21st. Granville and Bolton Central will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bolton Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
