Basketball Recap: Tara Takes a Loss

Tara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Feliciana Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Trojans of the 66-64 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2024.

It was another big night for Travis Lathers, who posted 26 points and three steals for West Feliciana. That's the most points Lathers has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Tim Lindsey, who had 19 points.

Tara's defeat dropped their record down to 11-23. As for West Feliciana, their victory bumped their record up to 21-10.

Tara does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Feliciana, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 65-62 loss against Beau Chene on the 28th.
