Baseball Game Preview: South Allegheny Gladiators vs. South Park Eagles

The South Allegheny Gladiators are taking a road trip to square off against the South Park Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Allegheny will be strutting in after a victory while South Park will be coming in after a defeat.

If South Allegheny beats South Park with 12 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Gladiators were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over East Allegheny on Wednesday. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for the Gladiators this season.

Meanwhile, South Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of Burgettstown by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Eagles have suffered since April 17, 2024.

The win made it two in a row for South Allegheny and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for South Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
