Baseball Game Preview: Boiling Springs Bubblers vs. Hamburg Hawks

The Boiling Springs Bubblers are taking a road trip to take on the Hamburg Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Boiling Springs will be strutting in after a victory while Hamburg will be coming in after a defeat.

While Bubblers fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Monday's season opener. They never let Bermudian Springs get on the board and left with a 14-0 win on Monday.

Dom Beck made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Beck was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

In other pitching news, Torin Williamson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Josh Snyder, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Matt Wilson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Hamburg suffered their closest loss since April 4, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Lancaster Catholic by a score of 6-4.
