Basketball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence lost to Field Kindley back in February of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Golden Tornado. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2025 (57), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Independence's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3. As for Field Kindley, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-4 record.

Coincidentally, Independence and Field Kindley will both be playing Parsons the next time they take the court. The Golden Tornado will host the Vikings on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them on Tuesday.
