Softball Recap: Second Baptist Takes a Loss

Lutheran South Academy hit Second Baptist with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 12-2 to the Pioneers. The Eagles have struggled against the Pioneers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Second Baptist's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 6-8. As for Lutheran South Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Second Baptist will face off against rival Fort Bend Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lutheran South Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Bay Area Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
