Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin). They claimed a resounding 82-39 victory over the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Martin to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cristina Marquez, who went 8 for 18 on her way to 20 points in addition to eight steals and five assists. The dominant performance gave Marquez a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Rochelle Cranston, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 19 points and five steals.

Marquez wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Martin was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Martin's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Juarez-Lincoln, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-15.

Martin will take on Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they will challenge Palmview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmview will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Juarez-Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight.
