            Volleyball Recap: Delta Panthers vs. Steamboat Springs Sailors        
        
		
        
        
            If Delta was riding high  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Rifle on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers lost  3-0 to the Steamboat Springs Sailors on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sailors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  two weeks ago.
 Delta took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-16,  25-21.
 Leading Steamboat Springs to victory were  Macee Wettlaufer and  Sammy Coleman.  Wettlaufer  had 14  digs, while  Coleman  had nine  digs. Wettlaufer is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last 12 games she's  played.
Delta's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Steamboat Springs, their victory  ended  a  three-match drought on the road  and  puts them at 13-8.
 Looking ahead, Delta will be taking part in a tournament against Battle Mountain  at 1:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Steamboat Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  win against Rifle on the 25th.
