Soccer Game Preview: Warren Central vs. Butler County

The Warren Central Dragons will challenge the Butler County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Warren Central's offense. They lost 13-0 to Calloway County on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Warren Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Calloway County are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Butler County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Edmonson County.

Warren Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Butler County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1.

Warren Central took their win against Butler County in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 11-5 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
