Football Recap: Colleton Prep Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against John Paul II

Colleton Prep Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 31-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the John Paul II Golden Warrriors. The War Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Warrriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

John Paul II's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alan Wolf, who rushed for 127 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 90 yards and one touchdown on only five passes. Wolf's longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Andrew Boyden helped out on the ground, rushing for 134 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colleton Prep Academy will venture away from home to face off against St. John's Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for John Paul II, they will head out to take on Laurence Manning Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
