Baseball Game Preview: Glacier Peak Grizzlies vs. Kamiak Knights

The Glacier Peak Grizzlies will face off against the Kamiak Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Glacier Peak will be strutting in after a win while Kamiak will be coming in after a loss.

Glacier Peak had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Kentwood on Friday. The Grizzlies blew past the Conquerors 10-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their one-run performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Kamiak didn't have quite enough to beat Woodinville on Wednesday and fell 6-5.

Colby Koga made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Fetty, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Kamiak's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Glacier Peak, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Glacier Peak came out on top in a nail-biter against Kamiak when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
