Recap: Leadore Mustangs vs. West Jefferson Panthers
On Wednesday, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Leadore had to settle for a 54-52 defeat against West Jefferson.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mason Herbst, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. The match was Herbst's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Ayers, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
Leadore's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for West Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 2-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leadore will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sho-Ban at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. West Jefferson will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on North Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on January 11, 2024.
