Basketball Game Preview: American Fork Cavemen vs. Weber Warriors

The American Fork Cavemen will head out to square off against the Weber Warriors at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, American Fork came up short against Springville and fell 53-43. The Cavemen have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jalise Chatman, who posted 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Julia Fugal was another key player, shooting 41% from the field on her way to 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Weber put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Roy 57-32. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Royals on their court since January 22, 2021.

American Fork now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Weber, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

American Fork beat Weber 45-37 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cavemen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
