Basketball Recap: Rusk Comes Up Short

Rusk's tournament run continued when they took on Union Grove on Saturday. The Eagles lost to the Lions on the road by a 43-24 margin. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1136th, while the Lions are ranked 422nd).

Rusk's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Union Grove, the win (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Rusk has already played their next contest, a 51-34 defeat against Joaquin on the 13th. As for Union Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 44-26 victory against Cushing on the 13th.
