            Kwigillingok hadn't done well against Kongiganak recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Everything went the Kwigillingok Eagles' way against the Kongiganak Wolverines as the Kwigillingok Eagles made off with  a  67-45 win. The Eagles' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.

 Kwigillingok found their leader in sophomore  Bessie David, who  posted 33  points. As a matter of fact, that's the most  points  David has scored all season.  Faith Paul also deserves some recognition as  she  scored her first points of the season.
 Despite the loss, Kongiganak still got an impressive performance from   Gracelyn Miller, who  put up 17  points. That was a full 37.8% of Kongiganak's points, marking the third time in a row she's   earned  more than a third of the team's points.  Julie Daniel was another key player,  putting up ten points.
Kwigillingok's first  victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Kongiganak, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the  loss, which was their sixth straight  at home.
 Kwigillingok does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Kongiganak has also  already played their next game,  a  67-38  defeat against Chief Paul Memorial on the 1st.
