Baseball Recap: Lincoln Find Success

While Lincoln's victory against Le Mars wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lynx narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 9-8. The Lynx haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

George Garst got the start for Lincoln and what a start it was: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Garst a new career-high.

At the plate, Evan Lang was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Greyson Clark, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Lincoln's record is now 8-27. As for Le Mars, they dropped their record down to 2-28 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Coming up, Lincoln will challenge Harlan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Le Mars, they will take on Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
