Spanish Springs and Centennial squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spanish Springs had to settle for second. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 9-3. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Spanish Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Rogers, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Spanish Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 25-12-1. As for Centennial, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-13 record this season.
