Baseball Recap: Central Falls Short Against Ranked West Warwick

Central faced West Warwick in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Knights took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wizards. The loss was the Knights' first of the season.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alejandro Almonte, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Having lost for the first time this season, Central fell to 4-1. As for West Warwick, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Central has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 loss against St. Raphael Academy on the 17th. As for West Warwick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Exeter-West Greenwich on the 19th.
